Try these easy Greek Lemon Chicken Gyros with Homemade Tzatziki Sauce 🥙

These gyros are so fresh, flavourful and made with just a handful of ingredients!! Not much I love more than that 😍🤩

What you’ll need:
Gyro chicken 🍗
•1 1/2 pounds boneless chicken breasts (about 3 large breasts)
•1/4 cup olive oil
•2 tablespoons lemon juice
•1 teaspoon oregano
•4 garlic cloves, minced
•1/2 teaspoon salt
•1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Toppings:
Whole wheat pitas 🥙
Roma tomatoes 🍅
Red onion 🧅
Lettuce 🥬
Tzatziki (recipe can be found further down my page!)

Directions:
1. Combine the olive oil, lemon juice, oregano, garlic, salt and pepper in a bowl. Add the chicken and toss well to combine. Marinate in the fridge for at least 30 mins.
2. Preheat a grill pan or cast iron to medium high heat (you can also cook on the bbq) Cook the chicken for 5-7 minutes on each side. Until internal temp reaches 165F.
3. Remove chicken from pan and let rest for 5 mins before slicing.
4. Serve it in a warm whole wheat pita with fresh tomato, red onion, lettuce and tzatiziki!

No-Bake Chocolate Date & Nut Bars 🍫🥜 These

No-Bake Chocolate Date & Nut Bars 🍫🥜

These bars are the perfect healthy snack when that afternoon sweet tooth kicks in! They are the perfect combo of sweet and salty and taste super decadent - with flavours of chocolate, mixed nuts and sea salt!

They are sweetened with medjool dates to keep them refined-sugar free 🙌 I also added in protein powder for an additional boost, but that is optional!

Ingredients:
1 cup medjool dates, soaked in warm water for 10 minutes
1/2 cup unsalted mixed nuts
1 scoop chocolate protein powder
1 tablespoon chia seeds
1 tablespoon hemp seeds
1 tablespoon peanut butter (or any nut butter)
1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
Sea salt, for sprinkling

1. Soak the dates for 10 minutes. Drain them well.
2. Add the dates and mixed nuts to a food processor. Pulse together until it forms a crumbly dough.
3. Add in the chia, hemp seeds, protein powder and peanut butter. Pulse together, it should now form a sticky dough. If not, add a teaspoon of warm water.
4. Press the dough into a small shallow pan or Tupperware lined with wax paper.
5. Place in freezer for a few minutes.
6. In a microwave safe bowl, melt the chocolate chips in 30 second intervals-stirring in between.
7. Pour the melted chocolate over the top evenly and sprinkle with sea salt.
8. Let set in freezer for at least 1 hour before cutting into bars!

Chocolate protein oats topped with frozen berries, chia seeds, hemp hearts and peanut butter 😍 ✨

Adding in a scoop of protein powder is the perfect way to level up your morning bowl of oats! It will keep you feeling full and satiated much longer than your typical oatmeal 🙌

Other ways to add protein to your oatmeal:
•Greek yogurt
•egg whites
•cottage cheese
•cook in soy or skim milk instead of water
•adding ground flax, chia seeds or hemp hearts
•adding a scoop of nut butter

5 Simple Healthy Habits To Do Everyday! ✨

1. Move your body: getting in at least 20-30 minutes of movement daily will not only help you physically, but it has a positive impact on your mental health as well 💪🧠 find whatever movement you love!

2. Stay hydrated: water is so important to our overall health, now I know it can get a little boring sometimes so try sprucing your water up with a couple slices of fruit and veggies 💦 🍋 🥒

3. Start by eating at least 1 nutritious balanced meal: you can always work your way up to 3 balanced meals but making sure you are having some nutrient dense, healthy food is amazing for our well-being! It provides our bodies with the proper nutrients needed to function at its best 🥗 🍗 🥑

4. Carve out some time for self-care everyday: this will look a little different for everyone but practicing good self-care is so good for our mind and body 🥰 some of my favourite self-care things are a bath with Epsom salts, reading my fav book, going to get a good coffee, do some good ol stretching- anything that’s focused around you

5. Getting a good nights rest: good quality sleep is one of my number one non-negotiable habits I try to do every night! You first have to create good sleep hygiene meaning getting in bed around the same time every night, make the room as dark as possible, no phone or TV and lowering the bedroom temperature if possible 😴

Overall, find what works for you! You don’t need to start all these habits in one day, start small and work up from there 🤗

This thick orange creamsicle smoothie is what summery dreams are made of 🤤 full of amazing nutrient-dense ingredients, making it a great light breakfast option or afternoon snack!

What’s in it 🍊
1 navel orange
1 frozen banana
1 carrot, peeled
1 scoop vanilla protein powder
1 tablespoon Greek yogurt
1 cup unsweetened almond milk
1/2 cup ice

Add all the ingredients to a blender and blend until smooth 🙌
